What the CNIC number structure actually contains
A CNIC number breaks into three parts: a 5-digit code identifying the family registration location/district, a 7-digit individual serial number, and a single final check/gender digit — an odd final digit indicates male, an even final digit indicates female, by NADRA's numbering convention. That's the entire extent of what's mathematically decodable from the number alone. Date of birth, current address, and card issuance/expiry dates are all stored in NADRA's database and printed on the physical card, but none of them can be derived or reverse-engineered from the CNIC number's digits themselves — a common misconception that leads people to expect a calculator to "decode" a birth date from a CNIC number, which isn't something the number structure supports.
A worked example
Two CNIC numbers with the same first 12 digits but a different final digit belong to people of different genders, all else being informational noise — the district and serial number portions say nothing about gender, sex is encoded exclusively in that single trailing digit.
